Document Design & Formatting – 4Life Fortify Program (2014)
Back in 2014, I joined the company 4Life with an interest in their Fortify Program, which provided meals to underserved communities worldwide. Unlike traditional product sales, this program allowed individuals to “purchase” meals as a direct donation to people in need.
While I was inspired by the mission, I was quickly disappointed with the quality of the materials available to support and promote the program. The resources were minimal and lacked the professionalism needed to properly engage donors or represent the importance of their contributions.
That’s when I stepped in to create a set of documents that were not only functional and professional, but also accessible to the communities being served. Each was produced in English and Spanish versions to ensure broader reach.
Deliverables
1. Thank You Voucher (English/Spanish)
A simple, professional voucher-style receipt for donors. Designed for clarity and easy distribution while reinforcing appreciation for their support.
2. Thank You Letter (English/Spanish)
A longer, one-page acknowledgment letter for larger orders. Balanced professionalism with warmth, ensuring donors felt both valued and informed.
3. Health Survey (English/Spanish)
The company’s existing health survey was outdated and poorly designed. I completely redesigned it for readability, consistency, and professionalism, producing clean bilingual versions.

Takeaway
This project reinforced my belief that clear, professional communication tools can make a real difference — not just for companies, but for the communities they serve. It also demonstrated the value of being proactive: identifying gaps, creating solutions, and delivering materials that elevate both trust and engagement.
